Dr. Andrea Kahn, Professor, Anatomic Pathology, a recent addition to our faculty, will take over the role of Associate Director of Anatomic Pathology from Dr. Virginia “Ginger” Duncan, Assistant Professor, Anatomic Pathology, effective January 1, 2021. We are grateful to Dr. Duncan for a job very well done serving as AD of our AP residents.

Dr. Chad Siniard, Assistant Professor, Laboratory Medicine, also recently joined our faculty and the role of Associate Director of Clinical Pathology, which he will continue.

As always the directors, as well as all our residents, enjoy the support and dedication of Monica Henderson, Pathology Residency Training Program Coordinator.

Our residents are crucial part of our UAB Pathology family. We are excited to share a recruitment video that includes many of our residents and leadership, touring our many labs, offices and other shared spaces used throughout residency.

This year’s residency recruitment season will be entirely virtual, with no in-person visits. On September 21, the department hosted the first of four virtual houses for prospective applicants. The following three VOH dates are: October 5, 12, 19, 5-7 pm.

Please join me in congratulating our Pathology Residency leadership team, and supporting them in their respective roles.
