Provision of clinically controlled research meals, metabolic unit foods, mixed meal tolerance tests, cooking class/demos, and precise menu and recipe design with NDSR and ProNutra, and custom nutrition intervention design and implementation.

Initial Consultation on Nutrition Intervention and Design Free 1-hr meeting with core staff to identify Diet Needs and Assessment, Menu Design, Nutrition Intervention services, Lab Staffing and Coordination, and Budget needed -
Ongoing Consultation on Nutrition Intervention, Design, and Application $163/hr Ongoing consultation with core faculty to identify appropriate diet interventions, menu substitutions, and menu alterations; develop conceptual frameworks of intervention and materials; select/develop appropriate assessment and procedures to analyze nutrition, diet, and adherence measures for participants -
Research Meal 1 $16/each Diet Control - Macros Only (weighed to the gram - uses eaches) -
Research Meal 2 $22/each Diet Control - Macros + 1-2 Micros (weighed to the tenth of a gram. May use eaches) -
Research Meal 3 $30/each Diet Control - Macros + 3+ Micros (weighed to the tenth of a gram - May use eaches) -
Research Meal 4 $45/each Diet Control - Macros + 3+ Micros (weighed to the tenth of a gram - does not use eaches) + a menu including specific fresh, whole, and or organic ingredients and or specific food brands. -
Mixed Meal Tolerance Test (MMTT) $15/each A meal designed per your study needs to measure how much insulin the pancreas releases after a person drinks a liquid meal that contains carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. -
Research Standard Meal (ex. Baseline meal) $25/each Standard Macro-nutrient controlled meal separate from a menu entrée; typically used for baseline meals. Can be altered per protocol per participant. May use eaches. -
Metabolic Unit Food $8/each A specific macro- and or micro-nutrient recipe designed to meet your study’s protocol. This recipe, or unit food, will assist with menu design, meal production, and participant diet adherence. -
RDN-Services $60/hr Includes but is not limited to Meal Plans, Calorie Prescriptions, Intervention Material Development, Dietary Counseling per specific diet intervention- Group, Dietary Counseling per specific diet intervention- Individual, General Health Counseling- Group, General Health Counseling - Individual -
NDSR/Food Record & Analysis – RDN $60/hr This service is completed by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Food record data can be used to assess total dietary intake and/or particular aspects of the diet: The record yields detailed information on foods and beverages (and if included, supplements) consumed on a given day or over a period of days. -
NDSR/24 Hour Recall & Analysis – RDN $60/hr This service is completed by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. A 24-hour recall is a structured interview that asks a person to recall all foods and drinks they consumed in the previous 24 hours. The goal is to collect detailed information about what and how much a person ate, including the time of day, preparation method, and portion size. -
NDSR/Food Record & Analysis – DI/Grad Student $20/hr This service is completed by a Dietetic Intern or Graduate Student. Food record data can be used to assess total dietary intake and/or particular aspects of the diet: The record yields detailed information on foods and beverages (and if included, supplements) consumed on a given day or over a period of days. -

NDSR Self-Usage/Rental $12/hr Your lab team can reserve hourly access to our advanced nutrition analysis software, NDSR. This versatile tool enables you to create detailed recipes and menus, complete food records and recalls, and analyze the nutritional content of menus, records, and recalls with precision. Additionally, NDSR generates comprehensive data reports that can be seamlessly exported to Excel for further analysis and reporting. -
Cooking Class/Demo $470/hr Interactive cooking classes led by dietitians and nutrition professionals. These sessions combine hands-on food preparation with tailored nutrition education, designed to meet your audience's needs or specific dietary goals. Available in-person or live-streamed, our classes make healthy eating practical and enjoyable. -
Demo Kitchen Rental $150/hr The Demo Kitchen is a versatile space available to UAB students, staff, faculty, and the community. Perfect for hosting your next event, it’s ideal for meetings, cooking demonstrations, or educational classes and courses. -
Continuing Education Course Creation and Presentation $240/each
