The purpose of the committee is to provide on-going review, recommendations and feedback on the implementation strategies including education, support services, communications plans and cessation programs. This steering committee is charged with providing an annual review of all program strategies and providing recommendations for improvement. The committee is associated with Student Affairs, University Relations, and Facilities.

Previously, The Non-Smoking Taskforce made recommendations about the on-going implementation and communication strategies associated with the revised non-smoking policy. A related Faculty Senate Standing Committee is the Faculty Policies & Procedures Committee.
