Help UAB parenting students and their families blaze on this holiday season by supporting Little Blazer Wishes, a program that provides anonymous gift sponsorship to Blazers who would otherwise struggle to fulfill their children’s holiday wish lists.

The UAB Employee Assistance and Counseling Center will be eligible for up to 15 free counseling sessions and 15 free life-coaching sessions per calendar year, an increase from 12 per year in response to an increase in mental health and wellness needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

UAB Safe streamUAB Transportation’s Motorist Assistance Roadside Service program, known as MARS, provides great service to help you resolve for car trouble such as a dead battery, a flat tire, an empty gas tank or locked-in car keys fast and for free when you are on campus.

UAB’s Benevolent Fund has been working in overdrive to meet the needs of Blazers and Birmingham residents. Making, restarting or increasing a monthly pledge via payroll deduction can help continue its work.

Jeff Walker, professor and chair for the Department Criminal Justice, is the winner of the 2020 Sam Brown Bridge Builder Award for his interdisciplinary, collaborative efforts across campus.
