UAB’s Office of Public Relations and Marketing works with UAB faculty and staff to develop and distribute university news and information in a variety of ways. It’s our job, and we’re happy to help.

We publish select items on our UAB News and Reporter websites and distribute others through The eReporter and social media channels, such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.

Generally, only announcements submitted by UAB departments will be considered for publication in The eReporter,
UAB’s employee newsletter. The deadline is 10 a.m. Monday for Tuesday’s edition and 10 a.m. Thursday for Friday’s edition.
Please note, those times are the latest they can be received and conceivably be included; it is not a commitment to use every
item in The eReporter or to publish it for as long or as often is requested.

Information is used at the discretion of the staff and is published at a time and with a frequency that best enables us to accommodate myriad requests and produce timely, meaningful communication for our faculty and staff.

OPRM uses many ways to reach out to varied audiences with the same story. To move it. Expand it. Keep it alive and make it relevant. The content and context may vary with the media and each instance may not appear in the manner requested, but you can be certain we use the information in the way we believe best advances UAB’s interests and its brand.
