MyHousing is your way to take care of your room arrangements—application, deposit, contract, room assignment, roommate selection, and more—online. Take control of your living arrangements, and do it when it works for you.

  • The MyHousing system works best with Internet Explorer—other browsers may not be supported. You must disable pop-up blockers to use MyHousing.
  • Log in with your BlazerID to complete an online application for UAB student housing.
  • To complete your application, you’ll need your BlazerID and a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) to pay the application fee.
  • Students who may require special accommodations should contact the Student Housing Office at studenthousing@uab.edu or by phone at (205) 934-2092 and register with UAB Disability Support Services at (205) 934-4205.

Freshmen:

Monday, January 6, 2014 at noon

Admitted scholarship freshmen may begin to apply for housing.  Students will submit $25 application fee, electronically sign housing contract, and submit $250 prepay.

Monday, January 20, 2014, at noon
Admitted freshmen may begin to apply for housing. Students will submit the $25 application fee, electronically sign housing contract, and submit $250 prepay.

Monday, June 2, 2014

Deadline to cancel Fall 2014 housing contract and receive refund of $250 prepayment – all cancellations must be received in writing (email to studenthousing@uab.edu is accepted).   Cancellations received after June 2nd will be accepted, but $250.00 prepay will be forfeited.

Tuesday, July 1, 2014
All roommate requests are due in MyHousing.

July 2014
Your Freshmen Roommate/Suitemates and assigned building will be emailed to your UAB email address.

Early August 2014
Housing assignments will be made available on MyHousing. Students will be able to log into MyHousing and see their Fall 2014 space assignment and roommate/suitemate information.

August 23, 2014
Freshmen Move In occurs. Please review the 2014-2015 Move In Guide for additional details.


Current Housing Residents:

Monday, February 3, 2014, at 12 p.m. – February 21, 2014 at 5 p.m. 

Spring Housing Resident Priority Reapplication Period
All spring housing residents may apply for Fall 2014-Spring 2015 housing during this time. Students will electronically sign housing contract and submit a $250 prepay.  The application closes for upperclassmen (only) at 5 p.m. on February 21, 2014.

Monday, March 3, 2014 through Friday, March 7, 2014
(Current Housing Residents Only) 

Current housing residents who applied during the priority period in February will begin to sign into MyHousing and select their rooms. Only students who applied during the priority period are eligible to choose a room. Applicants will receive a sign in date and time based on the order their application was received. **If applicant pool exceeds number of spaces initially available, some priority applicants will be assigned at a later time.**

This includes Fall 2014 transfer students and all enrolled UAB students, including on-campus residents who missed the February priority application period. Students will submit the $25 application fee (if applicable), electronically sign housing contract, and submit $250 prepay.
