About the Program

Interested in history, specifically how historical events, places and people are presented in public spaces? Then the Undergraduate Certificate in Public History is a great option for you.

Public historians work closely with people in communities who have a deep interest in the presentation of the past. These stakeholders need an expert who can both research and document the historical issues as well as their ideas and perspectives to be able to communicate information about the past and catalyze conversations about its meaning. This certificate will provide you with the training to explore this fascinating intersection of history and how the public understands its significance.
