He brought this issue to Jonett Beasley, clinical informatics specialist for primary care, who designed the perfect fix. Now there is a CV/Pulmonary results tab in the Results Review Section for all EKG, Pulmonary Function Tests and Telemetry!

Sumanth Prabhu, MD (Professor and Director, Cardiovascular Disease) has been named Associate Editor of Circulation Research, the premier basic and translational cardiovascular research journal worldwide. Congratulations on this prestigious appointment, Dr. Prabhu.
The graduating seniors of the University Honors Program have chosen Joseph Barney, MD (Associate Professor, Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care) as the recipient of the 2019 Outstanding Teacher Award for his photojournalism in medicine class. Erin Snyder, MD (Associate Professor, General Internal Medicine) and colleagues found that gender bias poses a threat to the resident evaluation process. In their systematic literature review published in Journal of General Internal Medicine, five of the nine studies considered reported a difference in outcomes attributed to gender, including gender-based differences in traits ascribed to residents, consistency of feedback, and performance measures.
IM resident Kevin Schwalbach, MD (PGY-3) presented his original research on intraosseous resuscitation on return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) during in-hospital cardiac arrest at the CHEST World Congress 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. His poster demonstrates that the method is inferior to intravenous resuscitation. Congrats on this exciting presentation, Dr. Schwalbach!
Jane S. Davis, CRNP, DNP (Nurse Practitioner, Nephrology) has co-edited the first edition of Physician Assistant Clinics: Critical Care Medicine. It is available now from Elsevier. Kudos on this achievement!
