Van Der Pol Leads UAB Green Lab Efforts in Efficiency

Barbara Van Der Pol, Ph.D. (Professor, ID) and Tatyana Gavrikova have set a global example for sustainable cold storage and energy efficiency practices in their lab. Their efforts saved UAB 62,012 kilowatt-hours of power in 2022.

Merriman and Dell'Italia Named VA Merit Awardees

Professor Tony Merriman, Ph.D., (Clinical Immunology & Rheum) and Professor Emeritus Louis Dell'Italia, M.D., (CVD) were awarded a VA Merit grant for their project "Xanthine Oxidoreductase Activity and Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction."
