More Good News for October 4, 2017

Congratulations to Ashita Tolwani, MD (Professor, Nephrology) for leading the 12th Annual Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Academy last week. Since 2005, the CRRT Academy has attracted clinicians to UAB from all across the country to learn the fundamentals of continuous dialysis for ICU patients with acute kidney injury. This year's academy had nearly 100 attendees.

Jennifer Hicks, MSHA, MBA (Program Director, Gerontology, Geriatrics and Palliative Care) is an integral part of the Center for Palliative and Supportive Care. Her background in Quality and Health Administration has been an incredible asset in the management of the Center, and she is extremely proficient in organizing the Supportive Care Clinic at TKC. Her tireless promotion of the value of palliative and supportive care among patients, faculty, donors, and the community is both invaluable and inspiring. Kudos on a job well done!
