April 7-9 | St. Louis, MO

T32 Program Directors, DAP grantees and training coordinators, and the NHGRI Intramural Training Coordinator are expected to register their trainees or participants for the meeting. Names and e-mail addresses are needed to register your trainees. Individual K and F awardees are expected to complete their own registrations.

Abstract Submission

Any trainee who is eligible to attend the Annual Meeting and also is involved in a research project is expected to submit an abstract. Deadline for Abstract submission is Friday, January 18, 2019 at 5pm (Central). Please notify your trainees that Abstract Submissions are now open.

Genetics and Genomics Grand Rounds (Fridays 12-1 pm)

This weekly seminar is attended by all trainees and faculty in the UAB Department of Genetics and is transmitted to HudsonAlpha via a WebEx link.  It consists of invited speakers from UAB, HudsonAlpha, as well as outside invited speakers.  Trainees are invited to lunch with speakers immediately following the presentation. Genome Sequencing Case Review

Monthly conference at which genome sequencing data are reviewed in light of patient phenotype to identify potentially pathogenic variants; also, cases being considered for sequencing are discussed at this meeting.

Molecular Tumor Board

Monthly conference organized and run by Dr. Eddy Yang at which cancer cases are discussed prior to and after genome analysis.
