UAB School of Engineering is taking applications for a new master’s degree program in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) is a two-year master’s degree that focuses on Information and Engineering Management. The program was developed after two years of collaboration with industry leaders across the United States.

WHAT: UAB School of Engineering is taking applications for a new master’s degree program in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) is a two-year master’s degree that focuses on Information and Engineering Management. The program was developed after two years of collaboration with industry leaders across the United States.

WHEN: Classes meet for one full week in the summer, beginning July 31, 2000. During the regular academic year, the program will meet on Friday and Saturday one weekend a month. The program completes in two years, ending May 2002.

REQUIREMENTS: To apply for the program applicants must have:

  • An undergraduate degree;
  • Industry experience in a technical field, preferably information technology.

This program is technology intensive. The focus is on real world information technology. Students with industry experience and undergraduate degrees in engineering, business, math, physics, and computer science should apply.

COST: Regular tuition plus $200 scheduling fee per course.

FYI: A maximum of 30 students will be enrolled per year. Registration deadline for the first class is June 15.
