BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has announced the members of the 2010 Class of Leadership UAB.

Leadership UAB has an annual membership class of approximately 50 people ages 25-40 who represent a cross-section of Birmingham's young professional community in corporate, civic and volunteer organizations.

"The organization's mission is to help educate young leaders about UAB's vision, mission and ongoing endeavors in education, research, economic development and patient care," said Shirley Salloway Kahn, Ph.D., vice president for Development, Alumni and External Relations. "Their insight and support are invaluable to the future of UAB."

The inaugural class debuted in 2008. Members have become involved on campus, participating in advisory boards, mentoring and offering input in innumerable ways, Kahn said.
