Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program
Nurses provide life-saving and life-changing care at the bedside, and depending upon their level of education nurses can also work just about anywhere—in school systems helping kids, in the legal profession as consultants, in the pharmaceutical industry in sales, leading companies as CEOs, as faculty teaching the next generation of nurses, as scientists making discoveries that change lives, and in health care policy responding to and helping shape the rapidly changing health care environment. By choosing nursing, you are choosing a versatile career that you can use in a variety of ways across your lifetime.
There is a growing need for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)-prepared nurses and the UAB School of Nursing offers multiple pathways to earn your BSN degree:
- The traditional, four year, BSN Pathway.
- The distance-accessible RN to BSN Pathway for registered nurses with an Associate's Degree in nursing who want to earn a BSN. There is also a RN to MSN Pathway for those who want to seamlessly progress into the MSN program once their BSN coursework is complete.
- The UAB Nursing Community College Partnership (UABCCNP) Join Enrollment Pathway that allows students to earn an Associate's' Degree and a BSN degree at the same time.
