The spring 2021 class schedule will be revised to adhere to the social-distancing guidelines used in fall 2020 to protect students and faculty. The schedule must be updated to accurately reflect the delivery mode for each course by Friday, Oct. 2.

Cyprès named associate provost, Robinson to serve as School of Education interim dean

School of Education Dean Autumn Tooms Cyprès, Ed.D., has been named associate provost for lifelong learning, effective Oct. 1. She will lead a university-wide strategic review of UAB’s continuing education efforts. Michelle Robinson, DMD, senior associate dean in the School of Dentistry, will become the interim dean of the School of Education.

Geurs named new School of Dentistry dean

Nicolaas Geurs, D.D.S., M.S., inaugural holder of UAB's Weatherford-Palcanis Endowed Professorship in Dentistry and the Dental Alumni-Joseph F. Volker Chair of Clinical Dentistry, has been selected as the next dean of the UAB School of Dentistry following a national search. He will begin his new role June 1.
