    Research and Innovations in Medical Education (RIME) Week
    • Research and Innovations in Medical Education (RIME) Week, held annually in September, promotes teaching skills, fosters curriculum innovation, and showcases scholarship and research findings in medical education. Highlights include, an education expert giving medical grand rounds, a medical education poster session, and teaching development workshops for fellows and faculty. Visit the webpage to learn more
    Center for Teaching and Learning Medical Educators Series
    • The UAB Center for Teaching and Learning offers monthly workshops for medical educators. Topics include everything from setting expectations and giving feedback to adult learning techniques and innovative teaching.     UAB Medical Education Research Interest Group
    • Have a medical education research idea or project and want feedback or guidance? You’re in luck! The UAB medical education research interest group meets monthly and are here to help. Contact Anne Zinski for details.
    Faculty Development Awards
    • The Robert A Kreisberg Award for Faculty Development in Medical Education is offered annually to support the educational enrichment of DOM clinical faculty. The call for applications goes out annually to all DOM faculty in June of each year. Please see the external development opportunities category for a list of programs that the Kreisberg award could be used to attend.
    • The annual PROSPER educator enrichment awards support and recognize faculty in curriculum enrichment and innovation projects in the School of Medicine. Contact Kristina Panizzi-Woodley for details.

    Creating Effective Resident Teachers
