In this role, she will work with the Annual Giving team to increase the number of donors and philanthropic dollars raised through online engagement and solicitation efforts, as well as work to improve current and developing new digital engagement and solicitation strategies.

We're excited to welcome Regional Giving Specialist Storey Gillen to UAB Advancement. In this role, she will develop a comprehensive giving program focused on securing mid-level gifts by maximizing relationships with alumni, parents and friends. She will also conduct outreach efforts and travel to make assessment and cultivation/solicitation visits to constituents.

Congratulations to Rebecca Rodamar who recently accepted the position of Program Manager – Gifts for the UAB School of Nursing. In her new role, Rebecca will be responsible for directing the financial and administrative operations for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations in the School of Nursing. She will ensure that the team maintains integrity of gift accounts and donor records.

We’re excited to welcome Erica Scott to UAB Advancement. Erica is joining us as Project Administrator for Heersink School of Medicine’s Constituent Engagement. In this role, she will coordinate administrative, personnel and logistical support for ongoing department projects, assist in scheduling, and create meeting agendas and materials.

We’re excited to welcome Ben Moffatt to UAB Advancement as the Assistant Director of Development for the School of Dentistry. In this role, he will work with Kerry Chesnut and Scott Huffman to secure mid-level gifts, focusing on young alumni from the SOD. He will also facilitate the class gift projects during alumni weekend.

We’re excited to welcome Annual Giving Manager Kate Hollingsworth to UAB Advancement. In this role, she will oversee the solicitation and marketing efforts of Benevolent Fund projects, including Blazers Against Hunger and the Benevolent Fund Spring Campaign, as well as other Annual Giving Ad Hoc campaigns. She will also manage the Annual Giving stewardship strategies and donor outreach.

We are excited to share that Lee O’Neil has been promoted to Senior Director of Advancement Operations Support for the newly formed Advancement Operations Support (AOS) team.

We’re so excited to welcome Megan Muzer to UAB Advancement as a Regional Giving Specialist. In this role, she will build relationships with UAB Alumni across the region with the goal of connecting them to the university and highlighting ways to give to UAB.

We’re excited to welcome Kimberly Burnett to UAB Advancement as Director of Gift and Biographical Records. In this role, Kimberly will lead the Gift and Biographical Records team in coordinating the maintenance and recording of all gifts and biographical information to better serve our donors and help equip our Development Officers in fundraising.

We’re excited to welcome Matthew Porter to UAB Advancement as a Project Manager II to the Office of the Provost and Office of Student Affairs. In this role, Matthew will work on special projects, identify giving opportunities and potential donor groups and help track constituent engagement.

Congratulations to Tori Akins who recently accepted the position of Assistant Manager for the Grateful Patient Program. As Grateful Patient Assistant Manager, Tori will provide development officers with quality grateful patient suspects and manage pre-qualification moves for the Grateful Patient Program. She will also assist in key performance indicator reporting.

We’re thrilled to welcome Cy Leffingwell to UAB Advancement. Cy is joining us as an Alumni Officer for Engagement for the Alumni Affairs team. In this role, he will coordinate the UAB National Alumni Society scholarship program, organize events to facilitate student involvement, and advise and manage the Future Blazer Alumni program and Young Alumni Council.
