Departments and programs across the College of Arts and Sciences use mass email communications and marketing for various communication goals. Email can be sent to internal audiences (UAB employees and/or students); external audiences (alumni, donors, etc.); or a combination of both internal and external.

For mass email communications, UAB uses Salesforce Marketing Cloud as the email distribution service. The College of Arts and Sciences business unit in Marketing Cloud is facilitated and managed by the Dean’s Office.

The Dean’s Office encourages departments and programs to take ownership and management of their email marketing and we’re happy to consult with units individually to provide additional training, best practices, and guidance to help support your unit’s goals and audience.
