Throughout the program, students gain experience in a variety of clinical settings while developing the technical, communication, and patient care skills that support high-quality oral healthcare.

The program's immersive approach gives students opportunities to learn from and work with members of the dental team across multiple specialties. Earlier this year, students participated in a mock interview exercise with fourth-year dental students, helping both groups strengthen the professional skills they will rely on throughout their careers.

"The strength of our program is the combination of classroom learning and real-world clinical experience," said Kelly McNealey, R.D.H., director of the Dental Assisting Program. "Our students graduate with a strong foundation in patient care, professionalism, and teamwork, and we are proud to see them take the next step in their careers."

As the Class of 2026 moves into the workforce, the program is preparing to welcome a new cohort of students later this summer.
