Applicants to the MSBME program should have earned a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, engineering, or a closely-related field. Students with undergraduate degrees in the physical sciences, life sciences, or mathematics will also be considered for admission; however, such students must demonstrate competence in engineering areas usually found in an undergraduate engineering curriculum. In some cases, preparatory courses in engineering may be required, with specific recommendations made by the BME Graduate Program Committee.
