  • M.D., Shanghai Medical University
  • Ph.D., National University of Singapore, Biomedical Science

Dr. Ye graduated with a medical degree from the Shanghai Medical University, Shanghai, China in 1996. He received his PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2005. After completion of his PhD, Ye continued his research at NUS and was promoted to Senior Research Scientist in July 2010. In Sept 2010, he received an invitation for a position at the University of Minnesota, USA, as was appointed an assistant professor there. He returned to Singapore to join the National Heart Centre Singapore in Nov 2014.

Ye's interest lies in the fields of cardiovascular research. He has published more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed journals, including European Journal of Heart Failure, Diabetologia, Biomaterials, Circulation Research, Circulation, and Cell Stem Cell. His research has received various national and international awards at prestigious scientific congresses, including Singapore Cardiac Society (2006, 2007, 2009), Asian Society for Cardiovascular Surgery (2004-2006), Asian Pacific Congress of Cardiology (2009), European Society of Cardiovascular Surgery (2005), European Society of Cardiology (2007), and American Heart Association (2006 & 2011). He was on the final shortlist for the Vivien Thomas Young Investigator Competition at the Annual Scientific Session of American Heart Association in 2006
