    Personal Cars should park in the 12th Street Deck on the corner of University Boulevard and 13th Street.

    Buses drop off at the Hill Student Center and proceed to Lot 15-I located on 11th Street South and 6th Avenue South (behind the WBHM Radio Station).

  • Who should attend?

    Any and all students and professionals interested in pursuing graduate education or professional school (such as medical, optometry, dentistry or nursing programs) should attend the Graduate Program Recruitment Fair. It is an opportunity to explore your options and determine which UAB program can help you achieve your academic and career goals. It is never too early to start planning; if you're a sophomore or beyond, start now. This is the perfect way to dip your toes into the world of graduate education.

  • Why should you attend?

    Learn: Have your questions answered quickly and thoroughly. The fair provides the perfect opportunity to ask about all aspects of a graduate or professional program, from mentoring and lab space to research opportunities. You can explore a number of different programs, including those that may not be on your list.

    Network: At the fair, you will have the chance to meet program directors, faculty, students, and staff from more than 50 UAB graduate and professional programs. Relationships are the catalyst for success, and networking allows you the time to develop these valuable relationships which could benefit you over the life of your career.

    Explore: There are lots of fun things to do in Birmingham. We encourage you to plan your trip to include more than just your visit to UAB's fair. Shopping, music, history, award-winning food and picturesque parks - there's plenty to explore!

  • Tips for Attending
    1. Research the schools and programs represented ahead of time, and prepare questions to ask the faculty and staff attending.
    2. Put your best foot forward by creating a resume, and bring multiple copies with you to leave with the representatives of the programs that interest you most.
    3. Are you ready to answer questions from our faculty and staff? Think about and rehearse answers to common questions that you can anticipate.
    4. Remember a good first impression is important. Dress casually, but appropriately for the fair.
    5. Arrive a few minutes early so you can take moment to review the layout of the room and plan your approach.
