Why I Chose UAB: As a medical student, UAB provided my first exposure to orthopedics. As I started to learn about other programs, I quickly realized how unique UAB is. We have an extremely high volume of orthopedic cases and hardworking faculty who are passionate about teaching.

UAB is also one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. These qualities provide an incredible surgical training that is difficult to compete with. Possibly more importantly, the people in this program truly care for each other and are close friends outside of the hospital. Overall, this is an extremely well rounded program in a great city and I knew it was the right fit for me.
