Headlining entertainers for UAB’s International Festival have been announced.

Travel around the world at UAB’s signature International Festival on March 30, 2019
The signature UAB International Festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hill Student Center. In an immersive celebration of food, music, art, film and cultural traditions from across the globe, the event aims to provide both UAB Blazers and the greater Birmingham community a chance to “travel around the world” in a day.

AfricanAncestry.com founder to help UAB students trace their DNA roots
In the spirit of African American history month, UAB will host AfricanAncestry.com Co-founder Gina Paige, Ph.D., on Feb. 18, 2019, at 6 p.m. in the Hill Student Center Ballroom. A unique talk was organized especially for the Black community and will cover the impact that DNA ancestry research, the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and family tree exploration has on shaping the identities of UAB students.
