Big Data Analytics
Managing the enormous volume, velocity, and variety of data around us is critical to interacting with our information-based society. Our big data research focuses on processing and making sense of such data. We work on scalability, parallel computing, grid computing, cloud computing, data mining, text mining, information fusion, data visualization, and big data analytics for forensics, cybercrime, cyberbullying, and biomedical applications.
We collaborate on these projects with Justice Sciences, School of Medicine, and others in the UAB community. The research in this cluster is funded by agencies including NSF and NIH.
