Fast Facts

  • Though apps and platforms may change from year to year, businesses are learning that social media is the single most effective way to reach audiences, according to Forbes.

About the Program

Sure, everyone uses Snapchat and Instagram—but not everyone knows how to use these apps to grow a business. We want to make you a social media guru, so that your skills will be in high demand no matter what your career.

To get started, we'll build on your social media knowledge by teaching you how to engage users, as well as interpret and manage data that you gather from campaigns. Your coursework will include Social Media and Virtual Communities, Web Analytics, Data Science for Business, and Social Media Marketing. You must be a student in the Collat School of Business to earn a certificate, but if you're not, you may earn a social media minor.
