Caregiver Action Network
This site provides resources on respite care, caregiver checklists, bereavement, video series on how to talk to your doctor, financial issues and assistance in locating local agencies on aging.

American Library Association
Caregivers toolkit with resources, support, government agencies and training opportunities.

American Association of Caregiving Youth
AACY supports youth who care for chronically ill, injured, elderly, or disabled family members.

National Alliance for Caregiving
The National Alliance for Caregiving is dedicated to improving Quality of Life for friend and family caregivers by advancing research, advocacy, and innovation.

Well Spouse Association
The Well Spouse Association provides peer support and education about the special challenges and unique issues facing “well” spouses. Members speak out on their caregiving situations, providing a window into the not-so-well-known world of the estimated 6 million spousal caregivers in America and many more around the world.

Do you need to connect with mental health and community resources? Would it be helpful to talk with someone who is knowledgeable about resources available in your area?
The EACC now offers mental health and community case management services to employees and members of their immediate household. Let our case manager assist you with referral information, coordination of services, and provide insight on what to expect when you reach out to resources. Case management services can include finding resources to help with housing, food, physical health issues, transportation issues, or substance use treatment referrals, among others.
Case management services are free and confidential and is offered as a stand-a-lone option. You do not have to see a counselor at the EACC to access services. To schedule a time to speak or meet with our case manager, complete the Case Management Intake Form on the New Client Instructions & Forms page.

Jada Baker is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she received her undergraduate degree in Science with a concentration in Social Work, and her Master's degree in Social Work. She has experience in child welfare with a background working with the Department of Human Resources. As an EACC Case Manager, Jada works to provide support services, facilitating referrals for individuals through networking with community organizations and agencies to aid in continuity of care.
Her pronouns are she/her/hers.

Jose Tron is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He received his Master of Arts and Sciences in Clinical Mental Health from UAB. He is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Jose previously worked for a local non-profit as a therapist and Out Patient Coordinator.
He works with individuals, families, and couples, in areas such as depression, grief, anxiety, anger control, stress management, work-life balance, and relationship issues. He utilizes a collaborative and holistic approach to counseling. He mainly uses cognitive behavioral therapy approach to assist clients in achieving their goals.
