The AMC 21 research steering committee selects Featured Discovery winners based on the following criteria:
- Nominee must be a current faculty member at the School of Medicine
- Discovery must be considered a high-impact
- Research scope and goals must be aligned with our missions
- Project must demonstrate collaboration and team science
- Research must be published in a prominent scientific journal
