Abdominal Transplant Fellowship Program
Welcome to the Arnold G. Diethelm Fellowship in Abdominal Transplant Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. This program is designed to provide comprehensive training in multi-organ transplantation at one of the nation's oldest and busiest transplant centers. The program is accredited by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons/Transplant Accreditation and Certification Council and offers fellows the opportunity to become proficient in kidney and liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery. Additional experience is provided in pancreas and uterus transplantation, pediatric transplantation, and dialysis access procedures.
