The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Haddin Humanities Forum lecture “Theatre and the Challenge of New Technologies,” originally scheduled for April 16, has been rescheduled for Friday, March 26.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Haddin Humanities Forum lecture "Theatre and the Challenge of New Technologies," originally scheduled for April 16, has been rescheduled for Friday, March 26.

The forum will be held at 11:45 a.m. at the UAB Mervyn H. Sterne Library, Henley Room, 917 13th St. South. The guest speaker will be UAB Professor Kelly Allison, MFA, from the UAB Department of Theatre. The event is free and open to the public.

Allison is head of design and technology in the UAB Department of Theatre. He has numerous professional credits, including work for the Guthrie Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival and American Folk Ballet, to name a few. Allison is currently the production director and resident lighting designer for The Alabama Ballet.

The UAB Haddin Humanities Forum, founded by Frederick W. Conner in 1973, provides an informal setting for dialogue between students, faculty and the public. Attendees are encouraged to participate in discussions. The Haddin Humanities Forum is sponsored by the UAB College of Arts and Sciences.
