The UAB Staff Council will host its annual Staff Convocation Picnic on the Green 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 23. A buffet lunch and live music will be provided, and staff can explore a resource fair highlighting unique staff-centric resources available on campus. President Ray Watts will highlight the past year’s accomplishments and share updates for the new academic year.

Council leadership also will provide an update on its inaugural year activities and vision for the future.

“The Picnic on the Green is one of our favorite annual events,” Dave Beeching, UAB Staff Council chair, told the UAB Reporter.  “We love being able to introduce campus resources available to staff, share our yearly accomplishments, get them up to speed on ways the Staff Council has been advocating for them and talk about our plans are for the future.”
