MGC Kickoff
At the beginning of each semester, the Multicultural Greek Council hosts Kickoff to start our recruitment process. Because MGC does not host a formal recruitment, each of our organizations come together to announce their respective recruitment weeks, which usually begin the following week, and showcase themselves through strolling.
Be the Change
Every October, MGC hosts a service event called "Be the Change" as an opportunity for us as a council give back to our community. This day of service was started by South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) to honor Mahatma Gandhi and other South Asian leaders who dedicated thier lives to public service.
The name of the event was inspired by Gandhi's famous quote, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." The event is open to UAB and the Birmingham community.
