phase one unit imageCCTS is proud to provide academic training in the principles required to excel in today's dynamic clinical research environment. This program provides research staff (study coordinators, billing staff, regulatory coordinators, etc.) with the basics of implementing and managing a clinical study or trial with an emphasis on good clinical practices (GCPs), research compliance, and other key topics. It is recommended for people who are starting out in research careers or those who would like to receive updates on the various UAB departments and programs that are on campus. This program will provide total of 22.5 AMAPRA CME Credits to the participants.

Logistics and Agenda

Registration is now open for the CCTS Spring 2019 Research Training Program (RTP). The classes begin on April 9 and run until May 14 from 7:45am - 12pm at the Pittman Center for Advanced Medical Studies (PCAMS). View the Fall 2018 course agenda for an example of detailed offerings.


The course fee of $150 covers course materials and refreshments. We must have both the registration form and the $150 fee before we add participants to the official class list. Acceptable payment methods include check (payable to UAB), Cost Transfer form (If you choose to pay with a grant account, you must have an approval to spend letter from your award sponsor or the request will not be processed.), or Internal Order form.
