Shaping the Translational Workforce
The CCTS seeks to develop a diverse and highly skilled clinical and translational research workforce well-prepared to collaborate, innovate, and accelerate the pace of scientific discoveries. The goal? To more effectively turn research insights into better health for the populations we serve.
Informed by the national competencies established for clinician-scientists by our funder, the National Center for Advancing Clinical and Translational Science (NCATS), our Training Academy domain offers interdisciplinary, educational programs and enrichment activities for research teams across the academic career arc – from graduate and postgraduate students to junior and senior faculty.
Recognizing the invaluable contributions of staff and community members to the success of clinical and translational research, we offer multiple learning opportunities for these team members as well.
CCTS instructors, respectful of busy schedules, geographic distance, and the personal learning preferences of our Network-wide participants, provide trainings using a variety of methods, including didactic, experiential, virtual, mobile, team-based, and "gamification."
See our Innovation page for additional ways we support the development of a vibrant clinical and translational workforce and our Self-Directed Learning page to learn more about our extensive list of training webinars.
