Upcoming CCTS Events

The purpose of the Clinical Trials Initiative Town Hall meetings has been to provide specific protocol expectations for the use of pending and operating accounts and to engage in open discussion that yields greater clarity on clinical trial budgeting, standardized fees and financial processes, which leads to a more financially sustainable model of conducting clinical trials. 

Leigh Powell, Clinical Trials Manager for the Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit at UAB, attended the October 28th meeting and shared, “Understanding the significance and impact of standardizing budgets is vital to successful research.”

Also during the October 28th meeting, facilitator Dr. Robert Kimberly emphasized a 2017 CCTS Monthly Forum that provided in-depth, critical financial guidelines for clinical trials. UAB Policies and Procedures Library:
