      • GRADient is an organization dedicated to the pursuit of academic excellence and social and political awareness with respect to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) graduate and professional students as well as postdoctoral scholars
    • borderTrans
      • BorderTRANS is a safe place where Trans students can come with questions about their gender identity and other issues they may have. borderTrans is a space for individuals to share their experiences and create community in a welcoming, supportive environment. This group is open to all UAB undergraduate, graduate and professional students who identify as: Trans, Transgender, Genderqueer, Fluid, Non-Binary, FTM, MTF, Two Spirit, Intersex, Gender Questioning and Transexual.
    • Gender & Sexuality Union
      • The Gender and Sexuality Union's (GSU) mission is to provide educational opportunities for our students, create safe spaces throughout the UAB community, foster dialogue about LGBTQIA+ issues, and create agendas, innovations, and momentum to engage our UAB community in social change and justice.
  • SafeZone
    • SafeZone Peer Educators are a group of volunteer undergraduate students who provided education and training around issues of gender, sexuality, power and oppression. SafeZone Peer Educators provide a visible network where all UAB undergraduate, graduate and professional students can receive knowledge and ask questions in a welcoming space in order to help make campus a safer, more accepting place for LGBTQ students, staff, faculty and visitors.
  • The Magic City Acceptance Center (MCAC) provides a safe, supportive and affirming space for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer or Questioning (LGBTQ) people and their allies in Birmingham, Alabama.
