Faculty Practice provides an opportunity for faculty to be engaged in activities that support the teaching, research, and service missions of the UAB School of Nursing. The practice sites represent the background and preparation of the individual faculty members that participate in faculty practice through partnerships with more than 35 programs including organizations, communities, and health care delivery systems.
While many faculty practices occur in clinical settings, others leverage faculty members expertise in consultative, educationally focused, administrative, or research-based practices. Faculty practice supports the service mission of the UAB School of Nursing offering opportunities to contribute expertise in community, medical center and academic settings and generating experiences that enrich student curriculum and provided a foundation for scholarship. The UAB School of Nursing Faculty Practice Committee provides guidance in the development, management, implementation, and evaluation of all faculty practice activities.
