Personal Message:
Serving as the Director, I have the privilege of providing vision and leadership for the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s dynamic and comprehensive University Recreation Department. I am blessed to supervise 11 full-time staff members, 4 graduate assistants, and over 200 part-time staff members. I am responsible for the operations of a 152,000-square-foot Campus Recreation Center. My mission is to provide safe, diverse, inclusive, and quality programs, facilities, services, and opportunities that enhance the UAB student, members, and community’s health and well-being. I am active in the UAB community, Birmingham Community, and NIRSA Community. I have also served as the Associate and Assistant Director at UAB, Director of Campus Recreation at Jackson State University, and Assistant Director for Operations at Syracuse University. I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees and love spending quality time with my wife, Meghan, and three children, Tylan, Declan, and Sloane.
