Swim to Break with URec - Hawaiian Edition!

Do you enjoy swimming and love traveling? So do we, so let's have some fun and "travel" together apart!

UAB URec is offering a self-paced, self-recording swimming program, where you log your laps it would take for you to reach your dream destination.

Start your journey by reserving a swimming lap lane through our Campus Rec mobile app, or our Member Online Portan, and come swim during your reserved time anytime between November 8 and December 10, the sooner the better.

Laps will be converted to miles, specifically, meaning 50 yards (2 laps) = 1 mile. Participation is free and participants will self-record their completed distances by logging their laps via Online Form or by scanning a QR code that is located throughout the Aquatics Center.

Remember, lap lanes can be reserved for 45 minutes and you may make the reservation up to 48 hours in advance. Just show your confirmation to the lifeguard on stand and get to swimming!

Did we mention, you can win a new swimming gear? All participants will be given a swim cap while the first 10 people who swims to the Big Island will win a beach towel!

Total for grand prize = 389 Miles (778 laps or 19,450 yards)!
