National Walk At Lunch Day

Lace-up your walking shoes, step away from your workspace, and join in on National Walk at Lunch Day. This event is celebrated the last Wednesday Walk at Lunch Day Logoin April and gives workers, students, and others a chance to get outside in the fresh air and get healthier. Join us to work toward the recommended 150 minutes per week of moderate-intensity activity. 

   
   Take a look at some ideas on how to get involved:

  • Send yourself a Calendar invite
  •  Feel free to call or video chat your co-worker/s, friend/s or family member/s that you want to virtually share your walk with.
  • Set out your walking shoes and lace-up when you’re ready to step out.
  •   Create your own National Walk at Lunch Day walking trail to follow.
  • Listen to any of the UAB Podcasts
  • Post a selfie from your walk and use #UABWalkAtLunch and tag us @uaburec for some social media recognition!
