Certain activities and actions on campus do not require board approval but do require that the board be informed prior to implementation. Items for board review require an
Board Agenda Item Recommendation Form and a simple resolution. For sample resolution or information item contact board liaison.
Matters which require board review include:
- New off-campus instructional sites and programs.
- Centers that are focused primarily on providing service or patient care, unless a significant commitment of institutional funds and/or physical resources is required for their establishment.
- Internal changes that are reasonable extensions or alterations of existing programs, including:
- The addition of options/tracks/concentrations within a major.
- Changes in a degree name.
- Organizational changes, including mergers and eliminations of departments and other major units (A change in the name of a school or department requires board approval).
If there are matters that do not fall within any of the items listed above, please check with the board liaison to confirm if the item requires approval.
