The CCTS Biostatistics, Epidemiology & Research Design (BERD) unit draws from expertise throughout the CCTS Partner Network (UAB, UA Tuscaloosa, UMMC, USA, PBRC and Tulane) to provide robust methodological support in a broad array of research-critical disciplines: study design, statistical genetics, regression techniques, power calculations, data management, and bioinformatics. Our BERD team also seeks to enhance reproducibility in clinical and translational sciences, provide educational opportunities in BERD techniques, and develop new, cutting-edge methodologies.
