This year's competition represented two major changes for us: for the first time we partnered with UAB's Lister Hill Center for Health Policy to organize the competition and we decided to move the internal UAB Global Health Case Competition to the fall semester. On Saturday, November 2nd, 53 students competed on 10 teams to present their recommendations for responding to the health concerns and policy complications around trash & e-waste management in the Agbogbloshie area of Accra, Ghana.
