This program facilitates the process of organ donorship, to help health professionals advance their knowledge of medicine. They also coordinates an annual Service of Gratitude to honor the donors who contributed their bodies to scientific learning.
Continuing Medical Education
This division seeks to offer meaningful, lifelong learning opportunities to Heersink healthcare professionals. The professional development program is intended for physicians and physicians-in-training to effectively increase knowledge, awareness, and competence; enhance physician performance; and improve patient and community health.

Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology
This division aims to ensure Heersink students have a comprehensive understanding of how drugs work, their benefits, and risks and how they can best be used to treat patients. They play a crucial role in training future physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, other health professionals, and researchers.
International Medical Education
This office seeks to foster global partnerships to develop educational programs that establish UAB as a leader in training global healthcare providers. They establish programs to promote the global exchange of knowledge in medical education, training, and research.

Physician Scientist Development Office
This office seeks to support and enhance the training of UAB Clinician Scientists as they develop their careers as future leaders of academic medicine. They help trainees develop their research portfolios, establish mentoring teams, obtain independent external grant funding, and develop into future leaders of academic medical centers.
