12th Annual Step Up to Wellness Health & Wellness Fair
Campus Recreation is coordinating plans for the 12th Annual Step Up to Wellness Health & Wellness Fair. We would like to extend an invitation for you and your organization to participate in this year’s event on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017. The event will be held from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Campus Recreation Center. This will be a tremendous opportunity to reach out to the UAB students, faculty, staff and other vendors in the community as we focus on whole body health and wellness. There will be 60-plus vendors to engage the UAB community to promote their healthy lifestyles.
Summer Programs Safety Fair - May 2017
This summer we will be having our Summer Programs Learn and Play. This event is designed to give parents/guardians an insight into what their children will be doing while attending our Rec Summer Camp, as well as learn about all the other programs offered at the Rec. It is a great way to keep them active leading into the summer and build excitement for summer camp! We hope to see you in 2017!
Open Rec Night Series
These will be hosted once a month to celebrate our students. Each event will be unique. We will offer an activity (ex: key log rolling, indoor hockey, bubble soccer, etc.) that is outside of normal rec activity. There will be a chance to enter a raffle and win free prizes.

Bouldering Wall Grand Opening
Celebration of the new Bouldering Wall opening for member use. There will be raffles for a chance to win free Adventure Rec trips and free equipment vouchers. There will also be a free movement clinic to demonstrate how to properly use the Bouldering Wall and a crate stacking contest.

Blazer 5k/1 Mile Walk
Blazer 5k/1 Mile Walk
NEW annual Blazer 5k/1 Mile Walk the Saturday of Homecoming Weekend. We will be partnering with multiple offices across campus to put on this event. There will be food provided at the end of the race, as well as an Expo setup on the Campus Green with student organization representation, vendors, etc.
