DJ D_Cas aka The Xperience
Derek Fauntleroy, also known as DJ D_Cas has over 25 years of DJ experience. For over 25 years he has been the DJ that takes you on a musical experience. he started his career at Virginia State University in the mid-’90s. As he honed his staled of spinning live, he quickly rose from small campus parties to larger club appearances, eventually owning one of his own: local hot spot called Soul City. Soon enough, nation celebrities, students, and various community luminaries were frequenting the club on a regular basis; making Soul City one of the hottest spots in central Virginia. in 1999 D_Cas left VA to conquer the ever-growing music mecca of the south, Atlanta, GA. There he started working in radio on Atlanta’s WRFG 89.3FM. His show, “The Casual Conversation Show” quickly became the #1 overnight mix show for 5 consecutive years. In 2005 he made the transition to commercial radio in MaconGA as the morning show DJ, mix show director, and DJ for the Saturday night mix show, “The Spin Cycle”. During this time he continued to spin in the hottest clubs and at special events throughout Atlanta. he has acquired major sponsors such as Red Bull, Burger King, The Grammy Association, Boost Mobile, Ford, New York Life, and a host of others.
In 2010 he set out to add to his DJ business by starting Connections DJ, a group of professional DJs specializing in corporate and private events. Connections DJs has been booked for events all over the world for private and corporate engagements. Connections DJs still maintains a presence in the concert and festival spaces.
In 2015 D_Cas started to expand his footprint in the entertainment business by starting an audiovisual production company. Centric Event Productions provides production management and support for many major concerts and festivals throughout the country. Having worked with many A list artists to produce creative and memorable live concerts, Centric has made it’s mark throughout the live entertainment industry. In addition, Centric has been involved with numerous political, corporate, and live produce events. D_Cas is very well rounded within the live entertainment industry.
D_Cas continues to entertain and rock parties all throughout Atlanta as well as international destinations such as the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Columbia, London, Bahamas, and Japan. From Virginia to Japan, he is truly “The Xperience”.
