Why should you attend The Major Discovery and Career Expo?

All of the exciting majors UAB has to offer will be featured so all undecided, re-deciding, and exploring students can ask questions and gather information all in one convenient location. Faculty and staff from each major will be available to answer your questions, from program requirements to possible career opportunities for future graduates. We’ll have advisors from the VMASC on hand to answer general major declaration questions, and there will be a dedicated Major Declaration Kiosk so students can select a first-time major, change a major, or add a second major/minor with the step-by-step assistance from staff.

Interested in a major, but unsure what to ask?

• Are there requirements for your major? What, if any, is the admission process?
• What kinds of special programs (research, independent study, study away, student organizations, internships, etc.) are offered with your major?
• What course(s) do you recommend to help me explore your major if I’m not ready to declare?
