UAB wants to give you money. Don’t miss the opportunity to take it.
You might think your need isn’t large enough for financial assistance, but you might be surprised. Completing the following three steps--sooner rather than later--will ensure that you are considered for the appropriate aid available to you.
1. The only way to know for sure if you qualify for financial assistance is to complete the FAFSA—the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
|Semester of Enrollment||FAFSA form for you||Availability|
|Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Summer 2015||2014/2015 FAFSA||Available: Apply Now|
|Fall 2013, Spring 2014, Summer 2014||2013/2014 FAFSA||Available: Apply Now|
2. Submitting the Title IV Authorization Form allows UAB to use your federal aid to pay for non-mandatory charges up front. The Financial Aid office highly recommends that you submit this form to avoid paying fees out-of-pocket.
3. Complete the Resource Form if you are receiving any financial assistance in the form of scholarships, VA benefits, tuition assistance, etc.
