Club sports vary in size and level of activity in order to meet the needs and interests of students. Each club establishes its own organizational structure, leadership and performance level.     About Us:   The Ballroom Dance Society (BDS) is a group of diverse undergraduate and graduate students with a passion for social dance and competition! (competing is not a requirement) Any student expressing interest in learning the skills necessary for ballroom dancing is welcome to join. We will teach you everything you need to know, so no experience is required! Students who join will have access to a great number of social events and competitions.

Start a New Club

Don’t see a particular sport you’re interested in? Heres how you can start your own!

Each club sport is required to have a minimum number of 8 student members and one of those members must be a designated leader/officer.

Interest meetings may be held in order to recruit new members to join the club’s roster prior to applying for recognition.

Develop a club constitution.

Apply to become a new Student Organization. More information can be found here.

Once a club is approved through the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, they can apply to become a club sport within University Recreation
