Are you struggling with staying motivated and exercising during the pandemic? Brianna Lee, our Coordinator of Fitness and Wellness, is here to help you overcome some of the barriers that might be making it difficult, or are preventing you from working out at home.

The news is out, and it looks like we will be working out at home for a little while longer while we continue to practice social distancing! br 11111

Gyms are remaining closed, which means we will continue to workout in our makeshift home gyms. Many of us didn’t have a full home gym when the COVID-19 outbreak hit and have been scrambling through as many free (and sometimes paid) resources as possible to try to stay fit and healthy. When you consider the lack of equipment and lack of space, it is difficult to find the motivation to get started. Once you get started, you have pets crawling over you or children claiming they are hungry, which makes it difficult to stay motivated. On top of all those distractions, you are left trying to figure out what kind of workouts you should be doing and if they are even possible to do in your home.

Well, here’s the GOOD NEWS! We have been posting home workout tips and tricks on Instagram TV to provide ideas for working around some of these barriers. Each episode lasts anywhere from 5-20 minutes and will greatly improve your home workout experience! Episodes are titled by the style of workout so you can easily browse for the workout that best suits your needs. Also, we take requests! Is there a workout you’d like to see? Just let us know!

Our website and social media accounts are also full of FREE resources (so ditch those paid options) to help you stay on track. We offer over 90 virtual group fitness classes a week thanks to our partnerships with other universities and Les Mills. Our certified personal trainers have created some at home bodyweight workouts for those of you that just want to follow a written workout and not a guided video.

If there are any resources we are NOT offering that you would like to see, reach out to us! We are here to provide Fitness and Wellness resources JUST FOR YOU!
